Im a month away from chasing the blue waters, warm sun and white sandy beaches of Fiji!! To say I am excited is a huge understatement, my latest work has thrived on a beachside lifestyle and I am about to discover one of the best places in the world for that.

Capturing wave images have been a big part of my daily work throughout the latest summer season. It's hugely exciting for me to show images of an ocean we all know however have never seen from a variety of different angles. Though I found myself lacking inspiration on days when the surf wasn't flowing, so I adventured further from the surf break into deeper waters.

About a month ago now I wrote about our visit to the aquarium in the south west of Australia, For those who are not aware it is a large rockpool that is about the size of a large swimming pool which provides great snorkeling opportunities away from the open ocean. Going beneath the surface and finding a whole new world open up to me just below a murky surface blew my mind! And with so much exciting ocean to explore it reignited my passion for diving.

It's the idea of sharing images of an exciting new world often overlooked by many people, reigniting a passion for the underwater world and the sustainability of it also, this is pushing me to do what I do. Being out in the expansive ocean, letting go of fears of the unknown, I loose myself in the tranquil beauty of it all. I've been spending the last few weeks diving in Cottelsoe as well as the Busselton Jetty. Though I also know these are very small locations on a country full of beautiful marine life and locations!! And thats what gets me really excited - a whole other world ti explore, photograph and share.

So gearing up for Fiji I have been training in the water quite a bit and I am looking forward to pushing the limits on what I can create and maximising the content I can produce. I have never felt so determined with the content I am producing and can not wait to share it with you

The question now is on a technical side and I need your help!!

Is it time to upgrade to a large underwater housing to store with my professional camera because so far I have been shooting all the underwater images on my gopro! Is it time to upgrade to a level of detail not many have seen before?!? let me know in the comments below
